Chamizo (1641 meters) is the highest peak in the line of mountains situated in the east of the province of Málaga and separates the plains of Antequera and the Axarquía. It is a limestone mountain that stands out clearly in the section called Sierra de Camarolos, a large karstic crestón and relatively soft slopes. However, the mountain is irregular, it has meadows and intensely exploited pine forests and the green band have proliferated tracks and good trails that will make the approach pleasant. On the other hand, from its summit, it dominates a view over the mountains, that goes from the Sierra de las Nieves to the Tejeda, going to the north by the Subbética de Córdoba and Jaén and the Arana and Nevada mountains, while to the south you will be able to see the Mediterranean shine above the mountains of Malaga.
