The Fuente de los Cien Caños Natural Monument is the birth of the Guadalhorce River and is located on two walls of a limestone hillside of the Sierra de San Jorge, in Villanueva del Trabuco. Here the water flows through a high number of upwellings, all collected by a multitude of ditches by wich the upper ones communicate with the lower ones by an infinity of pipes (in reality 101 pipes). The flow of water results in an impressive spectacle that gives birth to the river.
The channel contributes to other interesting natural places, such as the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes and the mouth of the Guadalhorce River.
