This urban beach has an area of 3.228 meters where you can enjoy a magnificent day in the sun. The beach of Torre del Mar is ideal to visit with the family, because it has all kinds of services.
This beach has been awarded with the Q of quality, a distinction that is granted to the beaches that provide a good service to tourists by the Institute for Tourism Quality.
This beach also has a promenade with a bicycle path, a large footh path and gardens, that gives the area a great atmosphere, as well as a variety of beach bars where you can taste the delicious skewers of Torrena. On the beach itself they have created also a footh path that goes from the River Vélez till Caleta de Vélez (ca 3,5 km).
Features
The beach is about 3.228 meters long by 40 / 100 meters wide. The sand is dark and it is of a medium grain. The waves here are generally calm / moderate. There are 15 beach restaurants and there is even a beach library (opens in July & August), but in some places are small boxes with books placed on the beach, where you can borrow a book. On the beach are several showers and sunbeds rentals are offered in various places. There are also a lifeguards and flags if it safe to go into the sea.
During the last year an area for children has been built next to the aid station, where the youngest can enjoy attractions and activities with other children; slides, swings and seesaws, among others, will make the Benjamín beach days much more fun.
