The Torrecilla is one of the most popular beaches in Nerja because since 2006 it retains the Q award of Tourist Quality Beaches and also the blue flag that it is receiving year after year. The beach is a regular recipient of the prestigious ‘Blue Flag of the EU’ and the ‘Q of Tourist Quality in Beaches’, and you can see the two fluttering at the end of the beach, near the ruins of the old tower of vigilance.
Features
The beach is about 300 meters long by 40 meters wide and has 5 accesses. The sand is dark and it is of a medium grain. The waves here are generally moderate. Along the beach at the boulevard are two restaurant situated. It has a lifeguard and flag service. On the beach are shower & toilets and sunbeds rental is offered. It is accesible for disabled people.
