Cañuelo is a very popular large beach, that is situated in the natural park “Cliffs of Maro-Cerro Gordo”. You need to park your car on the parking, that is situated 400 meters after km 302 to the right of the N-340 (Nerja – La Herradura) and walk down the road (1 km). In the summer, in the months June until September, public transport from the same N-340 can bring you down to the beach. If you are lucky you can see mountain goats on the way down, especially in spring and autumn, when the beach is more quiet.
Features
The beach is about 350 meters long by 15 meters wide. The beach has dark sand and gravel of a medium grain. The waves are generally moderate. The beach does have a beach restaurant, which is open the whole year. On the beach is a shower.
